Trials were conducted at Robertson Oval Wagga Wagga on Thursday 3 May. 52 boys trialled from Catholic schools across the Riverina and Southern NSW. Conditions were excellent for football and the players showed some impressive skills. Selectors for the day were Travis Doyle (St Francis De Sales College), Mark Sanson (Xavier High School, Albury), Matthew Hope (Mater Dei Catholic College), Wagga Wagga) and Ryan Price (Kildare Catholic College, Wagga Wagga)
A talented squad of 22 was selected, with high hopes of performing well at the All Schools Carnival in Blacktown.

This year’s championships were held in Blacktown from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 June. The venues were in excellent condition and the weather was good despite the slippery conditions caused by overnight rainfall. This gave all boys the opportunity to show their skills and talents against quality opposition. The results of the games were as follows.

The boys successfully moved through the first game and then had some tough wins in the next 3 games where we came from behind to eventually progress to the Grand Final. We entered the Grand Final against an undefeated CIS full of confidence. CIS dominated early proceedings in the final and CCC South never recovered. They completely dominated the final which was a disappointing climax to the carnival, but the boys performed admirably to be 2018 runner up. Five boys were selected in the NSW All Schools team to play at the National Carnival in Adelaide, SA from Sunday 21 July to Saturday 28 July.
