NSWCPS offers the opportunity for Catholic primary schools to participate in School based competitions with the emphasis on participation and development.

NSWCPS NETBALL GALA DAYS

(formerly CNA Netball Gala Days) - Jamison Park, Penrith

2 separate gala day opportunities, select the date most suited to your school calendar. Divisions include : Girls - 8/9 Years, 10 years, 11 Years, 12/13 Years; Boys - Junior (8 - 10 years), Senior (11-13 years); Mixed - Junior (8 - 10 years), Senior (11-13 years). With a Girls 12/13 Years Championship division being offered on the 1st day.

All teams play a minimum of 5 games.

2017 - Tuesday, 5th September & Tuesday, 12th September

CPS BASKETBALL CHALLENGE 

(formerly NSWCPS Basketball Championships)

A family/school community based event played over a weekend in October that has been running for over 30 years. Schools are invited to send teams in the following divisions : Girls - Junior (Years 3 & 4), Senior (Years 5 & 6); Boys - Junior (Years 3 & 4), Senior (Years 5 & 6).

Small schools may apply to amalgamate.

The highlight of the weekend is the gathering of all players and their families to celebrate a liturgy. Friendships are made, social gatherings enjoyed and a basketball enjoyed by all standards. 

This is not a pathway nor elite. This event is participation. Entries are now open $335 per team. 2017 event will be held in Goulburn over the weekend of  18th & 19th November 2017.

A school or a syndicate of schools may wish to apply to host a Challenge. This is a great community consolidator as well as an opportunity to raise funds through apparel, merchandise and food sales. CSSS will offer support in the coordination of the event.

GOLF TOURNAMENTS

NSWCPS conducts a Golf Tournament in July with the support of Jack Newton Junior Golf. The tournament is participation and a selection trial for Polding and MacKillop teams. There is no restriction. The Tournament has 2 division - 9 Hole and 18 Hole.  Participants in the 18 Hole event must have n Australian Golf link number /handicap or working towards it.Young golfers are encouraged to attend and represent their schools.

Registrations is online through the usual process - on your parent login account then register through the sport.

HOCKEY Kookaburra 8 ASIDE 

In conjunction with Hockey NSW

21st August 2017 @ Moorebank

8 - a side, no goalie, mixed teams, soft ball, half field. Participation. Great for schools who do not have hockey players.

2 divisions - Open (Years 3 - 6) and Junior (Years 3 & 4)

25 minute games. Umpires and on field coaches provided

Skills clinic available for all participants.

Sticks and balls will be provided by Hockey NSW.

Registrations by school through log in.
